ALEXANDRIA (Reuters) – The highest aide to former Trump marketing campaign chairman Paul Manafort testified at trial on Tuesday that Manafort informed him to not inform their agency’s bookkeeper about funds from accounts in Cyprus.

Rick Gates, the U.S. authorities’s star witness in Manafort’s trial on tax fraud and financial institution fraud costs, testified in federal courtroom in Alexandria, Virginia, that there have been a whole lot of emails exhibiting Manafort accredited funds out of Cypriot accounts.
Gates testified on Monday that rich Ukrainian businessmen paid Manafort hundreds of thousands of for his political companies by means of wire transfers to Cyprus-based accounts.
